US Soccer betting Odds: Last Friendly Game when Ecuador vs US

The United States will hit the pitch as a slight favorite on the soccer betting lines when they play host to Ecuador in an international friendly soccer match on Tuesday night at Red Bull Arena in Harrison N.J.

The Americans are coming off a 1-0 victory over Honduras on Saturday night in the first of two international exhibition matches which were scheduled during this international fixture window, as U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann continues to familiarize himself with his charges in advance of looming CONCACAF competition for a berth in the 2014 World Cup.

Klinsmann, the former star of the German national team who was named head coach of the American squad on July 29, directed his first victory after earlier consecutive 1-0 defeats to Belgium and Costa Rica and a 1-1 draw with Mexico.

Clint Dempsey scored the lone goal for the Americans in the victory over Honduras, while goalkeeper Tim Howard registered the clean sheet.

Ecuador is currently in fine form, having defeated visiting Venezuela 2-0 on Friday in a World Cup qualifier played at altitude in Quito on goals by Jaime Ayovi and Christian Benitez.

The Americans, who are favored at 5/6 odds, have won the past two matchups with Ecuador after managing just four draws against four losses in the previous eight encounters. Ecuador is listed at 14/5 odds to win, with draw odds of 12/5.

These two nations have not squared off since 2007, when the Americans defeated Ecuador 3-1 in Tampa, Fla., on three goals by Landon Donovan. Donovan is currently sidelined with a leg injury and will not play against Ecuador.

Don't forget your long-term odds either, including futures for Euro 2012 and World Cup 2014.
