BASEBALL
RULES
Money Line
When wagering on sides,
if you are betting the favorite, you will be laying
odds. When betting on the underdog, you will be picking
the odds. The odds for each game are based on who is
pitching. There are four ways of betting baseball:
Action: you do not
care if the listed pitchers start the game.
Listing both pitchers: you want action only if both
pitchers start the game.
Listing your pitcher:
you want action only if your pitcher starts the game.
Listing the opponents'
pitcher: you want action only if the other teams' pitcher
starts the game.
A. Dodgers
Valdez +130 ov 9½ -110
B. Expos Hermanson -150 un 9½ -110
When wagering
on the Expos (favorite), you will be staking
$150 to win $100.
When wagering
on the Dodgers (underdog), you will be laying
$100 to win $130.
If
there is a pitching change prior to the
start of the game. All "listed
pitchers" wagers will be cancelled
and the money refunded. All "action
goes" wagers will be adjusted to the
odds of the new pitcher.
Totals
(over/under)
Wagering
on the total runs scored on the game:
If you wager
on the Dodgers/Expos game to go OVER the
predicted total, the amount of the runs
on the game must be more than 10 in order
to win the wager.
If you wager
on the Dodgers/Expos game to go UNDER the
predicted total, the amount of runs on the
game must not exceed 9 in order to win the
wager.
The game must
go to 8 1/2 complete innings. In the event
of a pitcher change or an incomplete game
(less than 8 1/2 innings)all money lines
wagers are no action. Parlays will revert
to the next level (3 team parlay becomes
a 2 team parlay and a two team parlay will
become a straight wager). Also create at
the bottom of the page: "Special Baseball
Rules:
A game must
go over 4 1/2 innings for you to have action
on the money lines.
A game must go over 8 1/2 innings for you
to have action on the run-line and the totals.
In the case of a postponed or canceled game
after 8 1/2 innings the money line will
be no action, but the run-line and the totals
will have action.
ALL BASEBALL WAGERS MADE ON THE INTERNET
ARE ALWAYS LISTED PITCHERS. *Note: Totals
are always listed pitchers.
Run
Line Wagering
A. Dodgers Valdez +1½
-155
B. Expos Hermanson -1½ +135
The baseball
run line is a combination of the point spread
and the money line. The team you wager on
must win covering the run line spread. The
amount you lay or stake is determined by
the money line odds next to the run line
spread. (Odds are primarily determined by
who's pitching). The same rules that apply
to the totals apply for the run lines.
When wagering
on the Expos run line, the team selected
must win by at least 2 runs.
When wagering
on the Dodgers run line, the selected team
can lose the game but not by more than one
run.
Note: Run lines are always "listed
pitchers".
Future
Wagering
Future wagers,
such as to win the Championship or the Divisional
winners, will be graded as soon as the season
or tournament is over.
Baseball Parlays
The odds for Parlays are:
2 Team = 13/5
3 Team = 6/1
4 Team = 10/1
5 Team = 20/1
6 Team = 35/1
7 Team = 65/1
8 Team = 100/1
Note: These
odds are based in teams with -110 Money
Lines, any team with a different Money Line
will change the final odds.
Example: If
you make a 4 team parlay with favorites
in the Money Line with the following lines,
Mets -148
Cardinals -155
Braves -148
Rangers -150
If you place
a $25 wager on these picks, the payout for
this 4 team parlay would be $167 because
you are picking favorites in your bet. If
you choose teams with a -110 money line
the payout would be $250.
5 Inning
Game
When wagering on 5 inning games both listed
pitchers must start. In case of a pitching
change all wagers will be no action.
If both teams are tied on the side, all
wagers will be considered a push. And the
wagers on the total will still have action.
